An MoU was signed between PITB and Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust regarding automation of libraries under the trust. The MoU was signed by PITB DG e-Governance Sajid Latif and Vice Chairman Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Mian Farooq Altaf.
Officials from both the organizations including PITB Director IT Muhammad Kashif Farooq were present at the occasion.
As per the MOU, PITB will assist in providing various services including e-Catalog of Punjab and Digital Library with hundreds of digital resources.
DG e-Governance Sajid Latif briefed the participants about e-library services provided by PITB to public, private and academic libraries and discussed e-Library app that would be updated with various new features like online catalogue, audio books under the category ‘Bolti Kitabian,’ digitized text books from classes 1 to 12, library book delivery service, and a number of other digital resources.
