PITB Chairman Azfar Manzoor chaired a meeting with Special Advisor to PM AJ&K on IT Chaudry Iqbal and Director General IT AJ&K Khalid Rafique at Arfa Software Technology Park. The meeting was attended by the senior officials from PITB including DG e-Governance Sajid Latif, DG IT-Operations Faisal Yousaf and DG IT Solutions Waqar Naeem Qureshi.
DG IT Operations Faisal Yousaf gave a brief on ICT interventions in reference to smart policing and how they are helping combat crime and ensuring law & order.
DG e-Governance Sajid Latif gave an indepth walk through National Incubation Centre, Regional Plan 9, National Freelancing Training Program, e-Stamping and e-Khidmet centres.
The visiting delegates showed keen interest in the ICT interventions implemented by PITB. They also visited e-Khidmat Center where they were apprised of the services provided at the facility. E-Khidmat Centre which started with 15 services in 2015, now offers over 78 public services under one roof with guaranteed turnaround times. The visitors were also briefed about the model of e-khidmat implementation in AJ&K for improved citizen facilitation ensuring a hassle-free and robust service delivery framework.
