PITB and Intellectual Property Organization IPO-Pakistan signed an Agreement for the automation of the processes of IPO – Pakistan. The Agreement was signed by PITB DG e-Governance Sajid Latif and Director General Intellectual Property Organization IPO-Pakistan Shazia Adnan on behalf of their respective departments.
Senior officials from both departments including PITB ADG Training and Development Saima Shaikh, JD Syed Nayyer Ali and Head of Freelancing wing Chaudhry Ahmad Islam were present at the event.
According to the Agreement the automation of the concerned department will enable facilitation for the business community and public at large to apply for Intellectual Property Rights online. This shall make the processes simple, reduce response time, ensure transparency in organizational process and promote paperless work environment.
