PITB has collaborated with National Food Security and Research Department of Plant Protection (DPP) to digitize the process of import and export. In order to train the Trader Association and DPP staff, PITB team visited DPP Karachi and held a two-day training on exporter registration for product inspection. The attendees were also familiarized with the process of e-Phytosanitary Certification through mobile application. Automation of this system will help eliminate physical visits of the importers and exporters. It will also help the department review performance of their staff as well as ensure greater transparency.
