Delegation from Sri Lanka Visited PITB for ‘Pakistan Twinning Program with Sri Lanka’

A delegation from Sri Lanka visited PITB as part of the ‘Pakistan Twinning Program with Sri Lanka’ to learn about Punjab government’s ICT interventions. Chairman PITB Muhammad Asif Balal Lodhi gave a detailed briefing on the key PITB ICT initiatives across the province.
The delegation also visited Plan 9, e-Rozgaar and e-Khidmat Center where the concerned teams briefed them on their respective programs and services. PITB’s DG e-Governance Sajid Latif, ADG Citizen Facilitation Services Muhammad Waseem Bhatti, Joint Directors Hammad Khalique and Chaudhry Ahmad Islam, and VC Information Technology University (ITU) Prof. Dr. Sarfraz Khurshid were also present. Srilankan visit is part of a larger initiative, Voluntary National Review (VNR), under the ‘Twinning Program,’ initiated by United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP).
The Voluntary National Review (VNR) facilitates sharing of experiences between countries. The purpose of the Twinning Program, under the VNR, is to establish partnerships for exchange of best practices and definition of modalities for follow-up.
