A delegation from Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) visited PITB for a meeting with DG e-Governance Sajid Latif to discuss the launch of the latest feature of Clean Lahore mobile app.
The new feature will enable the coordinators of the Union Councils in Lahore to directly report any issues regarding cleanliness by marking the complaints to the concerned sanitary supervisors for prompt resolution.
Furthermore, Clean Lahore mobile app will now be bilingual (English and Urdu). The new feature will be piloted in around 20 Union Councils before implementation across District Lahore.
The delegation also shared their concerns regarding on-field staff attendance system and requested PITB to propose a digital mechanism for this purpose. In this regard, ADG Software Engineering Adil Iqbal briefed them on PITB developed bio-metric and facial recognition based attendance systems for different government departments. Lastly, PITB SPM Mariam Zaib briefed the visitors on the newly developed facial recognition attendance system deployed through the Android mobile app.
