Sri Lankan Delegation Visited PITB

A delegation from Sri Lanka visited PITB for a briefing and talk on the "Role of IT in Public Governance". They first visited the e-Khidmat Center located adjacent to the Arfa Software Technology Park (ASTP). They were briefed on the operational capacity of e-Khidmat Markaz and the services that are being offered at the center.
Later, the delegation attended a meeting chaired by PITB Chairman Muhammad Asif Balal Lodhi who gave a detailed briefing to the delegates on the key PITB ICT interventions and how Information Technology is transforming governance across Punjab. PITB DG e-Governance Sajid Latif, PITB DG IT-Solutions Waqar Naeem Qureshi and other senior officials were also present in the meeting.
The delegation also visited the head office of Punjab Masstransit Authority (PMA) at ASTP and commended PITB for automating the processes at Lahore metrobus system.
The Sri Lankan delegation is in Pakistan to attend an executive training at the National School of Public Policy, Lahore. The training is being conducted as part of the Pak-Sri Lanka Higher Education Cooperation Programme.
