A delegation from World Bank visited PITB to meet Chairman PITB Ali Sarfraz Hussain and discuss the modalities of World Bank’s Digital Economy Enhancement Project (DEEP). The DEEP initiative aims at strengthening digital connectivity as a key foundation for digital economy development and enhancing government’s capacity for digitally-enabled public services. The delegation included Senior Digital Development Specialist and Task Team Lead Natasha Beschorner, Program Officer Marie Eichholtzer, Social Development Specialist/Co-Task Team Lead Shan Rehman and team member Shahbaz Khan.
The delegates presented an overview of the project highlighting PITB’s role in fulfilling the core objectives. Chairman PITB discussed key areas of collaboration and the way forward for the successful implementation of the initiative.
