Punjab Minister for Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal (SW&BM) Ghazanfar Abbas Cheena inaugurated the Management Information System developed by PITB for Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) as part of the larger Disabled Persons Management System(DPMIS). Dignitaries including Punjab Minister IT Dr. Arslan Khalid, PITB Chairman Ali Sarfraz Hussain, Country Director WHO Pakistan Dr. Palitha Gunarathna Mahipala and Secretary SW&BM Punjab Waqas Ali Mahmood were present at the occasion. Senior officials from PITB included DG e-Governance Sajid Latif, Director IT Muhammad Kashif Farooq and Director Communication & Coordination Hasnain Iqbal.
Management Information System for Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) has been developed by PITB in collaboration with Punjab Social Welfare Department. The system rolled out in 36 districts across Punjab allows the Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) to apply online for a medical appointments and acquire Certificate of Disability.
