PITB has successfully integrated Prison Management Information System (PMIS) with the Bank of Punjab (BoP) to enable all the prisoners to open their personal bank accounts. This intervention will facilitate prisoners to carry out digital transactions related to Canteen and Public Call Office (PCO). A Mobile App has also been developed by PITB as part of the larger Prison Management Information System to enable prisoners to place orders, check prices and verify delivery of goods via biometric verification. The initiative will not only facilitate the prisoners but also eliminate corruption.
