UN FAO Delegation Visited PITB to Discuss the Development of ACWA Information Portal

A delegation from United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (UN-FAO), comprising UN-FAO International Consultant Fabio Grita, UN-FAO National Consultant Omar Kauser Malik and IT Specialist Saddam Qaiser, visited PITB to discuss the development of Agri-Climate-Water (ACWA) Information Portal as part of UN-FAO project ‘Transforming the Indus Basin with Climate Resilient Agriculture and Water Management’.
PITB DG IT-Operations (IT-Ops) Faisal Yousaf briefed the delegation on various IT initiatives rolled out by PITB with special emphasis on Agriculture and Irrigation sectors. The UN-FAO International Consultant Fabio Grita gave a detailed brief on the scope of the project and discussed how this portal would contribute to sustainable partnerships among different departments and stakeholders.
PITB IT-Ops team including Additional Director General (ADG) Khurram Mushtaq, Director Ali Raza Kheiri and Joint Director Usman Waheed were also present in the meeting.
