PITB and ICI&SD Hold a Meeting on ‘Automation of District Consumer Courts and Councils’ Project

A meeting was convened by Secretary Industries, Commerce, Investment & Skills Development Department (ICI&SD) Dr. Ahmed Javed Qazi regarding PITB’s ‘Automation of District Consumer Courts and Councils’ Project.
PITB IT-Ops Director General Faisal Yousaf briefed the participants about the core functionality of Case-Flow Management System (CFMS). He also highlighted that the system, comprising a web portal and mobile app, would ensure a hassle-free and a transparent process for the citizens to lodge and get timely resolution of their complaints.
Additionally, PITB IT-Ops Additional Director General Khurram Mushtaq gave an overview of the automation of the court procedures completed through this system. Some of these court procedures include Cause List, Hearing Schedules, Judges’ Rosters and Publication of Judgments.
Secretary ICI&SD acknowledged PITB’s efforts and discussed the way forward to make the system easily accessible and convenient for general public.
