Through the Literacy and Numeracy Drive executed by PITB, the students across Punjab are being assessed against the learning outcomes of their particular class. Officials visit schools and conduct tests for Mathematics, English and Urdu, using computer tablets to gauge students’ learning progress. The strategy sets ambitious targets and describes the actions that must be taken to improve the teaching and learning of literacy and numeracy.
