Secretary Mines & Minerals Punjab Holds Progress Review Meeting with PITB

A progress review meeting was held at the office of the Director General Mines and Minerals to review the progress of the IT initiatives implemented by PITB for the department. The meeting, chaired by Secretary Mines and Minerals Punjab Asadullah Faiz, was attended by the department’s Additional Secretary Waqas Rashid, Deputy Secretary Atika Ammar and Commissioner of Mines Labour Welfare Department Riaz Ahmad Chaudhry.
PITB IT-Operations (IT-Ops) JD Khawar Hafeez discussed the progress of the ongoing projects and gave an overview of the upcoming initiatives. IT-Ops Program Officer Khizra Latif gave detailed presentations on ‘Strengthening of Chief Inspectorate of Mines’ and ‘Strengthening and Digitization of Directorate General Office.’
The Secretary appreciated PITB’s contribution in the digitization of the department and discussed the way forward.
