Singapore Meta Office Team Visits ASTP to Meet Punjab IT Minister Dr. Arslan Khalid

A delegation from Meta Singapore Office led by Taabeer Athar visited Arfa Software Technology Park (ASTP) today to meet Punjab Information Technology (IT) Minister Dr. Arslan Khalid. PITB DG e-Governance Sajid Latif and DG IT-Solutions Waqar Naeem Qureshi were also present in the meeting.
Discussion revolved around integration of Meta's skill development programs like 'She means business' and 'Boost' with PITB’s Digital Skills Programs including ‘Taleem Aur Hunar Sath Sath’ and Digital Hunar 2.0.
The meeting discussed areas of mutual interest including Blue Print Certification for e-Rozgaar graduates, ‘She means business’ training for female entrepreneurs and freelancers and ‘Boost’ training for 22 Tech Incubation Centers across Pakistan. Partnering with Meta will open new horizons especially in the area of imparting in-demand digital skills to the youth.
Meta will join the ongoing deliberations on Punjab 3.0 to devise a roadmap for adoption of Web 3.0 in the province. The policy on Data Protection and Data Sharing was also discussed during the meeting.
