A delegation from Lahore Traffic Police visited Arfa Software Technology Park (ASTP) to get acquainted with PITB developed Digital Warden App prior to its tentative launch in Lahore next week. Three officers, nominated by Lahore Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Muntazir Mehdi, were given detailed hands-on training by PITB IT-Ops Senior Program Manager Rai Rashid and Senior Software Engineer Mamoon Sharif.
During the session, the queries of the attendees were addressed so that they can further train other wardens in their respective departments. The initiative aims at transforming the traditional system by generating paperless challans to eliminate fake challans, and challan books. The system was launched in all districts of Punjab except Lahore earlier this year. Now on the direction of SSP Traffic Police Punjab Ms. Riffat and Chief Traffic Officer Muntazir Mehdi this application will go live in Lahore next week tentatively.
