PITB Team Meets IG Punjab Prisons to Demonstrate PMIS

PITB team held a meeting with Punjab Prisons’ Inspector General (IG) Malik Mubashar Ahmed Khan to demonstrate the functionalities of PITB developed Prisons Management Information System (PMIS). PITB representatives from IT-Ops team including Additional Director General Syed Qasim Ifzal, Project Director Asim Iqbal and Senior Program Manager Iftikhar Khan were present during the meeting.
Punjab Prisons IG appreciated PITB team over the facilities provided to the prisoners and prisons staff through PMIS and showed interest in future collaboration in this regard.
PMIS ensures efficient control and management of jail affairs while helping the prison management in making timely decisions. The automation of manual data through PMIS is also helping in maintaining a comprehensive online database with the use of an Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS), planning and execution of reformatory measures, regulation and management of day-to-day affairs related to courts, and updating database of the prison staff.
