PITB and Punjab Small Industries Corporation Sign Agreement

PITB recently signed an agreement with the Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC) to provide technical assistance for their ‘Cluster Development Initiatives (CDIs)’ project regarding the readymade garments industry in Lahore and the surgical instruments manufacturing units in Sialkot.
In reference to this, a meeting was held among the stakeholders comprising PITB Director Hammad Hasan Hamdani, PSIC Cluster Manager Readymade Garments Fawad Malik and representatives of Pakistan Readymade Garments Association (PRGMEA) to discuss the way forward regarding the development of business plan, e-Commerce platform, and social media and digital marketing.
The purpose of CDI is to create an enabling environment for the growth and prosperity of the industries and to upgrade technology while enhancing product quality and profitability of local industry.
