A four-day training on the upgraded e-Abiana system developed by PITB was held in Multan Zone and Bahawalpur Zone. PITB IT-Ops Program Officers Muhammad Ali Mustafa and Shahbaz Ahmad gave detailed training on the revamped module of e-Abiana to the divisional XENs, Deputy Collectors, Zilledars, and Patwaris. Training of the revamped module of e-Abiana is now completed in All Divisions across Punjab.
e-Abiana project was initiated by PITB in collaboration with Punjab Irrigation Department in 2021. After the completion of the first phase in 2 years, the initiative was rebranded as the ‘Irrigation Revenue Collection System’. Four new modules namely ‘e-Tawan,' ‘e-Drainage,’ ‘Effluent Charges,’ and ‘Non-Irrigation Use of Canal Water’ will be added to the system soon.
