Chief Minister of Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi inaugurated PITB developed Hurmat-e-Quran-e-Karim Portal for Quran Board at Arfa Software Technology Park.
PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf gave a detailed brief on the salient features of the portal along with its demo. The portal is the first Artificial Intelligence based system that shall alert the Quran Board and stakeholder agencies about the defamatory attempts made on the Holy Quran and the objectionable material being published online. It shall also alert the concerned stakeholders to block these sources and carry out legal proceedings against the perpetrators. In addition, the system shall register and monitor publishers and e-Publishers.
Punjab Quran Board senior members Maulana Hussain Akbar and Dr. Abdul Ghafoor Rashid, Secretary Punjab Quran Board Umar Draz, Director General Religious Affairs Auqaf Dr. Tahir Raza Bukhari and Secretary Religious Affairs Auqaf Mian Abrar Ahmed were present. Senior officials from PITB included DG e-Governance Sajid Latif, ADG Software Engineering Adil Iqbal and IT-Operations ADG Syed Qasim Ifzal.
