PITB showcased its ICT Agriculture Initiatives on the last day of ‘Pakistan Horticulture Expo Trade Conference and Khaad Mela 2023’, organised by Punjab Agriculture Department at Expo Center, Lahore. PITB team apprised the farmers of the benefits of various IT interventions in the field of agriculture like e-Subsidies, Crop Insurance, Kissan Card and how they have benefitted the farmer community. PITB team also briefed the visitors about the digitisation of processes and addressed queries.
The Expo concluded with a shield distribution ceremony by Secretary Agriculture Ahmed Aziz Tarar, accompanied by Secretary Agriculture South Punjab Faisal Zahoor & Member of CM Inspection team Ehsan Bhutta. PITB IT-Ops Joint Director Usman Waheed was also presented with the shield. The event was attended by various stakeholders including investors, importers and exporters.
