PITB Hosted Second IT Round Table Conference at ASTP

PITB hosted the second IT Round Table Conference at ASTP on May 12, 2016 (Thursday.) The conference was enthusiastically attended by 152 IT companies alongside P@SHA, Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA), Federal Ministry of Commerce and Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT). The conference, spearheaded by Chairman PITB, Dr Umar Saif, provided a forum for open discussion to all the stakeholders where they pooled in their queries and effectual recommendations in order to formulate a comprehensive ICT Policy for Punjab. Dr Saif stated that the IT industry has harnessed subtle welfare for the economy of the country whereas IT sector in Pakistan has shown great character and grit in winning global recognition. Digital Punjab campaign, promising economic charm in Pakistan, garnered exclusive appreciation and acknowledgement from the participants.
Providing an interactive opportunity to the participants, the event wrapped up successfully resulting in a tangible declaration of the roundtable.
