PITB DG e-Governance Sajid Latif and Additional Director General (IT) Kashif Farooq represented PITB in the inaugural meeting of Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) formed by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) for the National Human Development Report (NHDR) 2023. The inaugural TAC meeting served as an introductory gathering for TAC members with an aim to present the vision, objectives, and methodology for the report, and convene a platform for sector leaders and peers to review and provide guidance to the thematic framing and contents of the report, along with its strategic communications and partnerships strategy.
As a member of the TAC, PITB aims at exploring as to how Pakistan can leverage digital transformation for enabling better outcomes in human development; analyse Pakistan’s political economy and the ecosystem surrounding digital transformation; and recommend policy solutions and pathways for shared prosperity and growth for Pakistan and its people. Representatives from UNDP, NADRA, NHDR, KP IT Board, PITB and other reputed NGOs also participated in the meeting.
