A delegation from Sindh Prisons & Corrections Service (SPCS) led by Sukkur DIG Prisons Syed Munawwar Ali Shah visited PITB headquarters at Arfa Software Technology Park (ASTP). The visiting delegation attended a meeting where Additional Director General (ADG) Syed Qasim Ifzal along with Project Director Asim Iqbal briefed them over various ICT initiatives rolled out by PITB to assist police, prisons and law enforcement departments.
Moreover, Senior Program Manager (SPM) Iftikhar Ahmed Khan gave demonstration on functionalities of Prisoners Management Information System (PMIS) to the guests. DIG Prisons Sukkur Region appreciated PITB team over the facilities provided to the prisoners and prisons staff through PMIS and showed interest in future collaboration in this regard.
PMIS ensures efficient control and management of jail affairs while helping the prison management in making timely decisions. The automation of manual data through PMIS is also helping in maintaining a comprehensive online database, planning and execution of reformatory measures, regulation and management of day-to-day affairs related to courts, and updating database of the prison staff.
