Special Secretary Agriculture Marketing Kulsume Hai visited Fruit & Vegetable Market in Lahore’s Badami Bagh area to monitor commodities arrival and auction process along with possibilities to make Mandi operations more efficient by using PITB’s digital transformation initiatives.
PITB Joint Director Usman Waheed accompanied the Special Secretary during the visit and comprehensively briefed her about entire process including arrival of trucks, online auctions, and market fee data entry into the system through the Mobile App & Portal implemented by PITB across the province. Technology infrastructure upgrade requirements were also analyzed at market entry/exit points while auction sites within market premises were also visited to effectively track and trace demand & supply in Badami Bagh’s Fruit & Vegetable market. The PITB team along with Special Secretary Agriculture Marketing also visited the Fruit & Vegetable Market Kahna Lahore as well. The Special Secretary lauded PITB for their efforts in the automation of Mandi operations.
