A ceremony regarding the handing / taking over of e-Procurement software was conducted at Planning and Development (P&D) Board today during which Federal Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) handed over e-Procurement software to the Punjab Government.
Chief Secretary Punjab/ Chairperson PPRA Zahid Akhtar Zaman launched the e-Procurement System as the chief guest. Senior officials including PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf, DF e-Governance Sajid Latif, Director Development and Procurement Ata-ur-Rehman and JD e-Procurement M. Jahanzaib Khan as well as Managing Director Federal PPRA Maqbool Ahmad Gondal, Managing Director Punjab PPRA Waqar Azim and Chairman P&D Board Sohail Anwar were present.
PITB and Punjab PPRA had jointly initiated e-Procurement project in 2021 for the implementation of e-Procurement across Punjab. The initiative aims at strengthening the Public Procurement Management System in the province and to improve efficiency, transparency, accountability, value for money and business development. Initially, the system will be implemented in PITB and will be rolled out later on throughout the Punjab Province.
