Secretary Planning & Development Board Dr. Muhammad Sohail Anwar Chaudhry chaired a meeting with the representatives from PITB, UNICEF, Punjab Social Protection Authority, Finance Department, Zakat & Usher Department and Local Government & Community Development Department.
The meeting aimed at discussing the plan for creating an enabling environment for implementing Social Protection Programs and expanding Social Protection Floors with special focus on adolescent protection.
PITB DG e-Governance Sajid Latif presented a comprehensive technical framework to monitor the overall activity through integration of various databases leading to a Social Protection Registry that will facilitate in strengthening the overall administration and processes of the Program.
The UNICEF team also presented a detailed roadmap for the extension of this social protection plan and the need to monitor it through a robust IT solution.
