PITB in collaboration with the department of Accountant General Punjab has developed an e-Pension System to facilitate the retired employees of the Government of Punjab.
The system was unveiled in an inauguration ceremony held at the Accountant General (AG) office. The ceremony was presided by Controller General of Accounts Pakistan Maqbool Ahmad Gondal and was attended by senior officials including Accountant General Punjab Syed Amar Naqvi, PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf, CTO Adil Iqbal Khan, ADG Syed Qasim Ifzal, ADG Omar Salman and Director Atif Hussain.
e-Pension System automates the manual pension system by digitizing the traditional processes, making the experience hassle-free and paperless. The e-Pension System will be a digital repository of retirees and allows the beneficiaries to process their pension from the comfort of their homes.
The pilot phase will commence from the School Education Department. Data of 4 Lac teachers has already been digitized. The initiative will be rolled out in other departments across Punjab in due course.
