Secretary Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Department (SW&BM) Zahoor Hussain had a meeting with key stakeholders to discuss the rehabilitation of beggars at the government’s Beggar’s Home. Representatives from PITB, Human Rights & Minorities Affairs, Labour and Human Resource, Literacy and Non-Formal Basic Education, Public Prosecution, Capital City Police Officer, BISP, PVTC, NADRA, PSPA, Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal and TEVTA attended the meeting.
The Secretary SW & BM gave a brief on the agenda of the meeting and discussed the rehabilitation campaign that will commence during the Ramazan season. PITB ADG Muhammad Kashif Farooq gave an overview of the Management Information System that will register and monitor the beggars at the Beggar’s home. The Secretary appreciated PITB’s support and discussed the way forward.
