PITB has developed an Online System and a Mobile Application to assist the government in the 'Free Atta Distribution' initiative during the holy month of Ramadan. The end-to-end process from Wheat Allocation to Flour Mills to Atta Distribution among deserving citizens has been automated for citizen convenience and monitoring purposes.
In this regard, Caretaker CM Punjab Mohsin Raza Naqvi met Chairman PITB Faisal Yousaf to review and receive updates on the initiative. Chairman PITB briefed the CM on the progress and also introduced the team working on this initiative.
The system is integrated with BISP to check the eligibility of citizens. Call Center Services (SMS & Helpline) have also been set up for information, eligibility check and lodging complaints.
Senior officials including PITB CTO Adil Iqbal Khan, ADG Omar Salman and Director Atif Hussain were also present during the CM visit.
