A delegation from KP Food Department and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) visited PITB to hold a meeting with the Software Engineering and IT-Operations team to deliberate on the possible measures to stop the smuggling of essential commodities. Both sides discussed the operationalization of e-Permit System and finalization of the modalities of integration and implementation in this regard.
PITB Director Badar Munir and Joint Director Usman Waheed demonstrated the KPK Wheat Permit System created under the Punjab Food Department's project, 'Digitization of Inventory Control and ERP of Food Directorate, Lahore' for tracking and traceability of essential commodities like wheat and flour. PITB and KPK Food Department agreed upon the integration of Punjab Food Department's Permit System with KPITB’s e-Permit System.
