A delegation from National Police Academy comprising of Sindh Police officers visited PITB for training on Smart Policing. In the first half of the training, PITB IT-Ops ADG Syed Qasim Ifzal gave a detailed briefing on the IT initiative to build one system for Punjab Police and security forces of other provinces, the underlying spirit being; one nation, one system.
In the second half, the delegation was briefed on Police related systems by SPM Rai Rashid. Program Manager Muhammad Ammar gave hands-on training on developing applications via DataPlug. The purpose of the training was to equip the officers with the latest tools and technologies to enable them for field operations.
Senior Software Engineer Mamoon Sharif delivered hands-on training regarding use of PowerBi in order to enable them to create interactive dashboards from raw data. The day concluded with group formation and an assignment to be presented on 2nd day of training.
