A delegation from UNICEF comprising Chief Global Specialist on CVRS New York Mr. Bhaskar, Child Protection Officer UNICEF Pakistan Farrah Iliyas, Child Protection Officer UNICEF Punjab Azlan Butt and Ms. Zahida Manzoor visited PITB yesterday to discuss potential areas of collaboration.
PITB DG e-Governance Sajid Latif provided detailed briefing on the PITB’s ICT interventions also highlighting the Tech Incubation (PLAN9) and 'Ease of Doing Business' initiatives. He also demonstrated several citizen facilitation apps developed by PITB and how they have helped the government in enhancing the overall performance and public service delivery.
He also gave a presentation on ‘Baldia Online,’ an innovative online application designed to streamline the registration process for vital events such as birth, divorce, death, and marriage. The application also serves as a platform to handle complaints and suggestions from citizens efficiently.
The UNICEF team expressed great interest and appreciation for the IT interventions and citizen-centric solutions being pioneered by PITB.
