Agriculture Secretary Iftikhar Ali Sahoo visited Command and Control Center (CCC) established by PITB for the Agriculture Department. DG Agriculture Extension Dr. Anjum Buttar, Technical Advisor to Secretary Agriculture Hafiz Abdul Rehman and other officials were also present.
During the visit, PITB IT-Ops Joint Director Usman Waheed gave an overall briefing on the initiatives taken for the department and particularly apprised him over the monitoring facility that also includes the Call Center. The progress of the project, ‘Privatization of Agriculture Extension to Enhance Service Delivery’, was also shared.
The Agriculture Secretary appreciated PITB’s efforts and suggested to develop an integrated farmer-centric ICT platform for better monitoring of crops.
