SMEDA and its Strategic Partners, including PITB, signed an MoU in connection with the World Micro-, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSME) Day 2023. The MoUs were signed individually with each strategic partner.
Federal Minister Industries & Production Syed Murtaza Mahmud was the chief guest of the event and the MOU was signed by SMEDA General Manager (CSD) Socrat Aman Rana and PITB DG e-Governance Sajid Latif on behalf of their respective organizations. CEO SMEDA Farhan Aziz Khawaja and senior officials from the Punjab Government were also present.
As per the MoU, PITB will extend its support to SMEDA for digitization of business development services for SMEs with a special focus on startups and women entrepreneurs, jointly develop training programs to enhance the skills of SMEs with a focus on emerging technologies and to establish One-Window operations for the facilitation of SMEs both at provincial and federal level.
PITB would also extend its support to establish a platform for mutual collaboration and exchange of ideas, knowledge and data for the purposes of ease of doing business for SMEs.
This collaboration marks a vital step towards creating an enabling environment for SMEs that fosters entrepreneurship and provide access to resources and services for unlocking their full potential.
