Crop Insurance as part of agritech initiative by PITB and Punjab Agriculture Department aims at aiding the farmers in times of calamities and natural disasters. With two insurance companies on board, Crop Insurance is covering all major crops including Wheat, Rice and Cotton. To date, Crop Insurance has issued 2.2 Million policies in 27 districts across Punjab.
