JICA-Japan Delegation Visits PITB to Explore Avenues for Collaboration

PITB team conducted a meeting with Japan International Cooperation Agency's (JICA) Digital Transformation Company to discuss collaborative opportunities in inter-tech joint ventures to enhance ICT interventions. During the meeting, the participants discussed and explored various aspects of inter-tech joint ventures and their potential impact on ICT interventions.

The meeting was attended by senior officials from PITB including DG e-Governance Sajid Latif, DG Business Development & Trainings Saima Shaikh, DG IT-Solutions Waqar Naeem Quershi, Director BD&T Jahanzeb Akbar, Director Start-ups Hammad Khalique, Joint Directors Mudassir Paracha and Ahmad Islam. The participants from JICA-Japan included Furukawa Masayuki, Hirayama Anju, Ai Ishitobi, Asmat Ullah Kakar, Koyama Wataru, Yano Taiga and Salman Hassan.

The PITB team demonstrated its various initiatives, such as youth skilled training programs, startup ecosystem, incubation centers, call centers, sports centers, chip design, automobile industry, and strategic partnership opportunities. The primary objective of the meeting was to discuss and explore potential collaborations and partnership opportunities to advance ICT interventions.
