On the direction of Punjab CM Mohsin Raza Naqvi, PITB and Punjab Police officials visited Gujranwala where they were briefed on the Safe City project, its scope, and implementation. The briefing was given by Commissioner Gujranwala Mansoor Qadir, Deputy Commissioner Gujranwala Saira Omer, RPO Gujranwala Dr. Haider Ashraf and CPO Gujranwala Rana Ayaz Saleem. The visiting delegation comprised of PITB ADG Syed Qasim Afzal, DIG IT Ahsan Younas, DIG Safe City Kamran Khan, Punjab Housing Department Secretary Sajid Zafar Dall and PITB SPM Rai Rashid.
During the meeting at the Commissioner Office, the CPO and RPO presented a detailed overview of the project, including the proposed locations for security cameras. The participants actively engaged in the discussion and provided valuable suggestions. These suggestions will be taken into consideration during the installation and subsequent updates of the security camera system.
Following the meeting, the participants visited the construction site of the Safe City project. They were given a thorough briefing on the ongoing development work. Additionally, they inspected the proposed locations for the installation of the security cameras. During this inspection, any redundant locations were identified and subsequently removed from the project scope, ensuring an optimized and efficient deployment of the cameras.
