PITB organized a training session on OPD Registration and Medicine Dispensation System for Tertiary Care Hospitals of Punjab. The hands-on training focused on OPD Registration and Medicine Dispensation System deployed in the 5 Tertiary Care Hospitals (Phase 1). The session was attended by the staff members from the Registration, Pharmacy and Main Medicine Store
The session was held at SHC&ME Secretariat and was chaired by Special Secretary Specialized Health Care & Medical Education Department (SHC&ME) Raja Mansoor Ahmad via video link. PITB Joint Director Kumail Rizvi, Project Director Asher Zulqernain, Senior Program Manager Jamal Nasir and Program Manager Muhammad Tanveer were also present to give briefing on the system.
Specialized Health Care & Medical Education (SHC&ME) Department has launched a flagship initiative in which free medicines will be given to patients coming to hospital OPDs.
PITB envisions to provide the respective authorities with analytical insights on healthcare and service delivery. Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) developed by PITB will be used to keep track of medicines dispensed to each patient. All tertiary care hospitals of Punjab will be covered by the initiative in upcoming phases.
