PITB launched Education Management Information System (EMIS) HR Module in Gilgit Baltistan. PITB representatives from IT Solutions team paid a 5-day visit to GB districts Gilgit, Nagar and Hunza to give orientation and hands-on practice sessions on the newly launched module.
In this regard, the GB Education Secretary Rehman Shah chaired a progress review meeting at the Chief Secretary Office. EMIS Deputy Director Afzal Khan gave a comprehensive update regarding the project's signed contract whereas PITB Program Officer Rubab Zahra gave demos of the SIS-Punjab and EMIS-GB mobile applications for student registration.
An orientation session was also held at Government High School, Gilgit to address the issues of Cluster Heads. Additionally, the Department of Education & Special Education - Gilgit Baltistan organized a detailed requirement-gathering session for Student Registration App, School Facilities, and Annual School Census.
Department of Education & Special Education-Gilgit Baltistan Director Planning Faqeer Ullah and Director Academics Aqeel Hussain chaired the wrap-up meeting. They applauded PITB for its continuous IT support. PITB Additional Director General (SE) Omar Salman and Joint Director (IT-Solutions) Sajjad Ahmad Qureshi attended the meeting online. The meeting served as a platform to evaluate progress and strategize further directions for the project, promoting collaboration for educational reforms in the GB province.
