PITB has developed a comprehensive ‘Muharram Security’ portal for the Punjab Home Department, which assists them in ensuring security during the month of Muharram across Punjab.
The entire ‘Security Camera Surveillance’ at district level is also being carried out under this initiative. A total of 37,614 Majalis and 9,469 Processions have been efficiently monitored and guarded so far. At the same time, a total of 815 Gagging Orders have been issued and 1276 Bans have been imposed.
‘Muharram Security’ portal has enabled all the Deputy Commissioner Offices and CPO Offices to manage the security arrangements competently while the real-time data is helping the officials in taking timely action. The portal gives an eagle-eye view of the Majalis and Processions to the police officials.
