A foreign delegation comprising representatives from the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) visited PITB as part of a visit organized by Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) and presided by PSEB Director Media, Research & Publications Sulman Hassan. The purpose of the visit was to showcase the province-wide technological advancements and the tech friendly ecosystem of Punjab.
The foreign delegation included Vice President National ICT Confederation of The Philippines Michal Kelly Pe Tiu Lim, Smile Tech Vietnam Nguyen Sinh Dung Than, Blue Ocean Investment Co. LTD Myanmar Chairman Htun Htun Naing, ASAFF Group Brunei Executive Chairman Haji Abdul Saman Bin Ahmed, Wangtaparb Resort Thailand Manager Yodtong Chetkul and representative from Worldbridge Forum Cambodia Prim Loy.
PITB Director Business Development and Training wing Muhammad Jahanzeb Akbar gave a detailed overview of IT interventions rolled out in the fields of Supporting Businesses, Knowledge Economy, e-Governance & Automation and Citizen Centric Services. He also gave an overview of BizLinks initiative aimed at Public Private partnership.
PITB JD Incubation wing Hammad Bin Abdul Khalique gave a comprehensive presentation on initiatives taken by PITB to foster freelancing and entrepreneurial ecosystem in Pakistan. They also visited PITB Incubation wing where they interacted with various startups.
The delegation showed keen interest in PITB's product portfolio and discussed the way forward to implement the e-Governance and Citizen Centric Services in ASEAN member countries.
