More than 200,000 invoices were received in a month, which were sifted through the balloting system developed by PITB. Exclusive gift hampers including cars, motorbikes and Umrah tickets were distributed among the winners while it was announced the balloting would be held on monthly basis. Chairman PITB, Dr Umar Saif addressed the participants highlighting the benefits of the system whereas officials from 36 districts of Punjab were also present at the occasion through Video Conferencing.
Restaurant Invoice Monitoring System (RIMS), devised by PITB in collaboration with Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA), is revenue automation initiative of Punjab government.
