A meeting was held between Secretary Livestock & Dairy Development Department (L&DD) Muhammad Masoud Anwar and PITB during which the PITB team gave a detailed briefing on the benefits of Punjab Government Data Sharing & Governance Act 2022. Representatives from the Bureau of Statistics and L&DD department were also present among the participants.
PITB Director Rana Abid Mehmood discussed the different possible aspects and benefits of this Act including Informed Policy and Decision-Making, Effective Resource Allocation, Streamlined Reporting, Enhanced Data Integrity and Reliability, etc. He also explained how this model would make the best use of BI (Business Intelligence) Tools and technology for effective data representation and analysis.
Secretary L&DD appreciated PITB's support and efforts in the digitization of the department and discussed the way forward.
