PITB, Ministry of IT & Telecommunication Pakistan (MoITT), National Information Technology Board NITB, State Bank of Pakistan, National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), and representatives from provincial IT Boards held a meeting regarding data governance law for inter-agency data sharing, national data governance framework, and Government to Government (G2G) & Government to Citizen (G2C) services bus.
PITB DG e-Governance Sajid Latif, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Adil Iqbal, and Director IT-Solutions Rana Abid Mehmood briefed the forum on PITB related initiatives and achievements particularly related to establishing the legal basis for government-wide data-sharing, data governance framework, technology platform for data-sharing and sectoral/cross-sectoral data analytics, national services bus, data exchange layer and single digital identity framework.
Overall, the stakeholders showed keen interest in collaborating with PITB and discussed the way forward.
