PITB and the Sindh Finance Department have signed a contract to implement e-Pay Sindh in order to provide an alternate and easy mode of payments to the citizens of the Sindh province using digital mediums such as Mobile Application and Web Portal.
The contract was signed on behalf of Chairman PITB Faisal Yousaf by PITB Director General Sajid Latif and Secretary Finance GoS Dr. Kazim Hussain Jatoi . PITB Project Director Haroon Rasul Khokhar, representatives of the State Bank of Pakistan and 1Link were also present.
This initiative aims to help the Government of Sindh (GoS) in reducing the pilferages in the system and increasing the revenue for the Government. It will also enable the citizens of Sindh to make digital payments against government taxes and levies through Mobile App, Internet Banking, ATMs, OTC and through Branchless Banking.
