Secretary Food Punjab Muhammad Usman had a meeting with PITB team to finalize the policy and requirements regarding the upcoming Wheat Procurement Season 2024-25.
PITB Joint Director Usman Waheed updated him on the Farmer Registration process and 'Girdawari' verification mechanism in this regard. He also emphasized on the scope and benefits of this initiative for the stakeholders and the farmers.
Secretary Food Punjab appreciated PITB's support in streamlining the upcoming wheat procurement activity by the Punjab Food Department to facilitate the farmers and discussed the way forward.
