Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi has inaugurated the newly constructed Dr. Fatima Jinnah Institute of Dental Science Lahore. Punjab Minister Health Dr. Javed Akram, Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Akhtar Zaman, PITB Director Health Nausheen Fayyaz and other senior officials were also present.
During the event, PITB Director Health Nausheen Fayyaz gave a detailed briefing on Hospital Management Information System (HMIS), implemented successfully at the hospital.
In this regard Chairman PITB Faisal Yousaf said that the deployment of the Registration Module of the PITB developed HMIS will accrue substantial benefits including provision of Electronic Medical Records for enhanced clinical services benefiting both patients and hospital management.
HMIS is an advanced tool that makes administrative workflows easier, reducing chances of human error. The centralized system is beneficial for both the hospital management and the patients, as every patient's data is easily accessible at any HMIS powered hospital across Punjab.
