Government of the Punjab officially inaugurated the Restaurant Invoice Monitoring System (RIMS) devised by Punjab IT Board for Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA). On the occasion, Chairman PITB Dr Umar Saif highlighted the prominent features of the system and its benefits for revenue maximization.
He elaborated that the system is a unique idea to enhance the number of tax payers whereby food businesses get registered with the authorities. This invoice generation system is a nontraditional way of tax collection, which is incorporated with a raffle system where the invoices entitle customers to win exciting prizes through lucky draws.
