PITB and Azad Jummu & Kashmir Police Department have signed an MoU to roll out PITB developed Driving License Information Management System (DLIMS).
The MoU was signed by AJK IG Dr Sohail Habib Tajik PSP and PITB Director General Business Development & Training Saima Raoof Shaikh and was co-signed by PITB Project Director IT-Operations wing Rai Rashid.
According to the MoU, PITB will develop and implement DLIMS across AJK in order to simplify and speed up the process of driving license issuance. AJK citizens will be able to apply online and track the status of their license issuance through DLIMS. This would also help the AJK Police Department to ensure easy workflow, transparency and enhance public service delivery.
The issuance of learner license as part of DLIMS is live now and the applicants can now apply for their license from the comfort of their home.
